Chef & Cook Team – Breakfast & Barbecue Cooks

Specializing in large group family style meals, Powderbird seeks to provide a personal and relaxed dining experience. As a member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for the creation, preparation, and enjoyment of our high elevation cuisine. If you are an independent individual that is looking to learn the inner workings of a small boutique kitchen with a view, this is a great opportunity for you.

Duties/Responsibilities

While providing superior service to our clients at all times:

  • Be passionate about barbecuing in the mountains
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Powderbird food and beverage needs
  • Be willing to follow pre-organized menus, while broadening and strengthening one’s personal understanding of large group cooking
  • Be willing to work closely with Powderbird management and other food and beverage teammates to create simple and delicious client meals
  • Able to cater to the client’s needs and dietary restrictions
  • Individuals on this team will be responsible for shopping, prepping, and cooking client meals
  • Individuals should be passionate about working for a business that operates in the winter/mountain environment and should be prepared to perform other tasks as assigned.

Valued Skills

Powderbird is looking for intelligent, energetic people to join our team who have interest or experience in large group and family cooking fields. Individuals with past experience in rafting, guiding and outfitter style cooking will excel. All members of the food and beverage teammates will need sufficient cooking, math and computer skills to manage client meals, in addition to a basic understanding of the skiing and snowboard industry.

All staff should feel comfortable commuting to and from work on snow-covered mountainous roads. (Reliable four-wheel drive and/or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended) Please note that employees are able to receive full-time status within 3-4 days per week. A typical day begins at 6 am and ends at 5:30 pm. This is a great position for those individuals that want to balance their love for cooking with their passion for the mountains.

Position Details: Seasonal Full-Time

  • Season Dates: Dec 15th-April 1st Annually
  • Salary Position w/Revolving Schedule: 3-4 Days Per Week
  • Typical Hours: 6am-5:30pm

Building Maintenance

Powderbird is looking for dedicated individuals to help maintain our heliport for the 2017-18 helicopter skiing season. Servicing nearly 1500 clients a year, our staff provides some of the best skiing and snowboarding experiences in North America. As a member of our Building Maintenance and Janitorial team, you will be responsible for property snow removal, heliport setup, dishwashing, and cleanup. For those that are looking to balance their work/ski lifestyle this is a great opportunity as our facility is located slopeside at Snowbird, mountain resort.

Duties/Responsibilities

While providing superior service to our clients at all times, crew members responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Managing guest safety from their time of arrival to their departure

Flight Crew

Specializing in small group helicopter skiing adventure, Powderbird strives to provide a personal and dependable skiing experience. As a member of our Flight Crew, you will be responsible for greeting incoming guests, handling daily helicopter logistics, and managing guest, employee, and aircraft safety. For those that are looking to learn or broaden their understanding of the aviation and safety components of the heli-skiing industry, this is a great opportunity for you.

Event & Sales Concierge

Looking to share your passion for the mountains with people from around the world? Powderbird is looking for friendly and fun individuals that can help facilitate daily events and sales. Servicing nearly 1500 clients a year, our staff provides some of the best skiing and snowboarding experiences in North America. As a member of our Sales Concierge team, you will be responsible for creating positive guest experiences, assist in facilitating each day’s events, communicating and booking Powderbird services. From initial client interaction to flight organization and logistics, our Sale Concierge team works together with our guests to create their ideal helicopter skiing experience. Event Host/Hostess

Powderbird Helicopter Skiing is looking for dedicated individuals who share a passion for winter sports and world-class client care. As a member of our Host/Hostess team, you will be responsible for client check-in, breakfast and lunch setup/breakdown, and general customer care for 8-12 guests. Host/hostess should feel comfortable working with catering, bellhops and restaurant managers to provide a clean, professional and fun environment for the day’s activities. If you are an individual that loves to host private parties, this is the perfect position to use your skill to make our helicopter skiing days unforgettable.

Duties/Responsibilities
